Right.
After hearing what some people had to say about "Salvation Road", I've submitted it to "Sand: A Journal of Strange Tales".
It's a hardcopy magazine (print publication) that's published three times a year, in limited form, in February, May and August. They also publish an annual collection once a year. The only thing I think may be an issue is that "Salvation Road" is, by all legitimate definitions, already published here. They're asking for First Serial Rights, so they may be willing to overlook the fact if they like it.
The payment?
A contributor's copy of the magazine and US$ 1. (It's small press publishing to the max - but it's getting the story out there and seen that's the important thing anyway.)
I'll let you all know how that goes.
"Disturbing the Peace" and "Harbinger" are both under review - "Harbinger" in Scotland and "Disturbing the Peace" by the Big Pulp. Both still have fairly long waiting periods, so they're currently still adorning some editors' slushpiles. Still no update on those, in other words.
