Of Mice and Men

It's 4:26 am at the moment and my team and I've been waiting at the office for nearly 50 minutes for something that was meant to be here at 3.

Needless to say, I'm miffed.

At least the coffee's good and the rainy weather's soothing. I might wait until 5 before blowing a gasket.

Seeing as though there's nothing to do but wait at the moment, I had full intention of writing something meaningful or at least entertaining here this morning. Alack, my brain hath forsaken me.

ES had a minagerie of varied viewing titles with her when I finally got home last night - presented by one of you (I'll save the name) in exchange for the motion picture I was lamenting yesterday. I haven't watched any of aforementioned titles, but guys: What is it with Ms. Hilton that holds such a fascination? Would someone please explain.

I believe I'm as red-blooded and straight as the next guy, but this chick really looks like a blonde-haired, primary school hockey jock. ('scuse me while I barf into my wastepaper bin.)

Maybe that's it?

Anyway, I'd rather not think about that right now.

I'm considering taking a nap as soon as things get underway here: maybe it's the easiest and most effective way to avoid the harsh reality that, whether we like it or not, there're going to be some really narrow shaves on our deadlines today.

As long as they're narrow shaves in the nick of time and not on the other side of deadlines, I'm perfectly happy.

Hope you're all enjoying your sleep. I'm jealous.

I really, really am.
